OUR STATEMENT ON COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)
Updated as of 9th November 2021
Life, as we know it, has come to a complete standstill.
Most of you have been either directly or indirectly been affected by the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) in the past couple of months.
But, like for everyone else, what started as a year full of promise and excitement both personally and professionally quickly went balls-up without warning when the current pandemic ground the world to a halt.
A lot of dreams and plans have been cancelled or postponed for the foreseeable future. The knock-on effects of this pandemic are largely unknown and relatively unpredictable.
Here is our advice on the current situation:
Please listen to the experts.
Please source information on the situation in your location – and the advice – from official government channels and respected, established authorities and organisations.
Please do not base your current or future travel plans during this global pandemic around advice from influencers, bloggers, or randoms on social media (even those who have a background in medicine or health).
Please follow the advice of local, national, and international medical bodies (such as the World Health Organisation or the NHS or the CDC) on how to best protect yourself and others. This includes hygiene, prevention, and actions to take if you present symptoms or worry that you may have been exposed to the virus.
This article by the IATA provides up to date, country-specific information about entry requirements and border closures for those planning their next moves.
Please think of others.
We also hope that you and your loved ones are in a healthy condition and this terrible outbreak has not impacted you negatively. If any of our readers or followers have been affected, our hearts go out to you and we’re sending all our love your way.
We’re also chatting to our friends and colleagues in the industry to work out ways in which we collectively can help the tourism industry recover or support each other in these difficult times. Oh, and we’re getting to spend a little more time with our family than planned.
Travel for us is a learning process, things that we cannot learn in books but experience in reality and understand different cultures! From all that we have experienced and learned travelling, humanity is the biggest culture and it’s time for us to support one another to bring everything back on track! Staying indoors is the least we can contribute, and for those who are privileged, they can help the ones fighting the situation! Take a moment to be grateful for what we have and pray for the ones affected!
Stay Safe.
